felt like sketching up some zsasz fluff.  he’s such a sinister character that sometimes it’s fun to just draw him all precious and sick and miserable instead.  <3

and i can never decide how i prefer to draw him…scrawny and bald, or more built with some hair, or scrawny with hair??  the cool thing about zsasz is that he looks (and behaves) different in every batman comic he shows up in, so there’s really not a “canon” zsasz look.

messing around in SAI.  ended up drawing some Zsasz because why not.  he’s so much fun to draw all creepy and gross and awful.  <3

… Anyway. This is titled “Zsasz Imprisoned.” Concept art of Zsasz in one of the cages in the Penguin’s museum. I mean, we all know he was there- you see that broken, bloodied glass and the tally marks… But I like this concept art. I like the idea of encountering him behind the glass, just chilling, plotting. Then the next time you’re in that room, he’s gone…

I just have a lot of feelings about this character. There’s so little real story to him, his voice actor is fan-fucking-TASTIC, and if he were real? He would be TERRIFYING. This is a guy who kills because he CAN. There is no rhyme or reason to his victims. He just does what he does because he wants to. He’s too creepy to ever show up in the movies (although he was in Batman Begins for all of two minutes!) or shows and if he shows up in the New 52 he’s gonna be ruined I just know it…..

I think it would’ve been REALLY creepy to meet him in the glass at towards the beginning of the game.  He could’ve had some blood-chilling lines and made threats and been all scary…and then you come back later and see that he’s escaped.  HOW COOL WOULD THAT HAVE BEEN

also why the tree branches in there i wonder?  everyone’s little rooms were kind of themed just for them, right?  this makes me think of catching a caterpillar and putting it in a jar with a leaf and a stick.  XD

I’m glad I search on dA regularly for Zsasz stuff.  Who knows how long she could’ve been taking my writing before I noticed.  In the grand scheme of things, yes, it’s just a dumb bit of pseudo-fanfic, but it’s still something I wrote, damnit.
